Organisation: NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde
Hospital: Inverclyde Royal Hospital
Project: Emergency Façade Repair Works
Value: £500, 000
Timescale: 2013 - 2014
A feasibility study was instructed to assess suspected issues, which were apparent on the façade of the hospital. As a result it was discovered that the South and West Elevations had severe structural issues and that emergency action should be taken to rectify situation and make safe. The Pod elements at the rear elevation were visually releasing themselves from the main structure.
Over a period of around 9 months major structural works were installed within all emergency areas. Scaffold erection was considerable and inclement weather was problematic.
All of the South and West façade benefited by the emergency installation of anchor points.
The total value of the Project was £500,000.00
